Maintenance and repairs to a listed building

Project completed in 8 weeks.

This project provided the client with piece of mind knowing that the exterior of their home was protected from the elements for the future. Parts of this property are 500 years old and it is grade 2 listed, so any repairs need to be carried out sympathetically. The original white lime wash was soda blasted off, shot blasting being too harsh. All of the loose original lime mortar was raked out and then repointed with a new mix of lime mortar.

A coloured lime wash was then applied in several coats. Two of the lower roofs where stripped and re-roofed and two new conservation roof lights where used to replace plastic ones that leaked. All of the fascia, barge and cap boards where replaced and painted. Cast iron gutter was used to replace all of the existing faulty gutter. Rotting windows and doors where repaired and painted.
